Research interests & goals:
Michael Willoughby is a Scientist and Statistician at the Frank Porter Graham Child Development Institute. Two of the projects with which he is currently affiliated (i.e., the Family Life Project, the Durham Child Health and Development Study) are based at the Center for Developmental Science. His substantive interests include the disruptive behavior disorders, with an emphasis on the developmental causes, course, and consequences of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, as well as the co-occurrence of callous unemotional traits and Conduct Disorder. His quantitative interests include the application of advanced methods, primarily structural equation modeling techniques, to substantive questions related to measurement and modeling change over time.
